A.FAN.
Last year I took the kids the their first game. I was in my glory even more so having them there with me to experience the thrill of live football.

Even with the renovations, the stadium is beautiful and the view from our seats was stunning.

So anyway. Just catching you up.
I.LOVE.THE.BEARS.

So imagine my surprise as I sat at the hole in the wall bar after the band reunion a stretch hummer limo pulls up to the bar. Carrying none other than fucking Jay Cutler.
JAY.FUCKING.NEWLY.SIGNED.TO.THE.BEARS.JAY.CUTLER.
*deep breath*
I played it cool.
*innocent smile*
I danced closely to his table but far enough away that I didn't seem like a crazed fan.
*Innocent look*
I shot a look his way every OTHER chorus instead of staring obsessively.
*innocently whistling*
Our group was sitting outside on the deck, his group was indoors. I made the normal, typical bathroom runs as any girl who has a small bladder.
*innocently skipping*
I did not go back to my table of friends with both fingers crossed waving them in the air singing the Bears fight Song. Go Bears.
*fixes halo over head*
I behaved.
It was Jay-please help our Bears back to the Superbowl-Cutler.
Jay-I'm still bitter over the Indianapolis Colts vs Bears Superbowl-Cutler.
Just sayin'.
sounds like you played it way cool!
ReplyDeleteWay to go cool lady. :) I'm surprised he didn't ask for your digits!
ReplyDeleteYou are the master of nonchalance. Did I spell that right? Anyway, you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. I wish I could get into sports, because I know live games are fun. I am just not a sports girl. LOL. Great picture of the family!
ReplyDeleteIf it was me, I totally would have gone up to him and asked for a picture and autograph! Or so I say. I probably would have been way shy and I just wished I'd done those things. ;)
ReplyDeleteSo you weren't really excited in the least is what you are sayin'?!
ReplyDeleteNow just imagine how you would've handled it drunk. Can you say lap dance?
ReplyDeleteOh the way you were acting I thought you were talking about a Hockey player. Hockey, now there's a sport!(ok I'm kidding, all sports are evil unless live)
ReplyDeleteDa Bears!
ReplyDeleteI'm so supportive of my local NFL team that I wouldn't recognize a single one of them if they came to my door. So I've got that goin' for me.
This brought a smile to my face. I hope your Bears have a great season and he is everything you expect him to be.
ReplyDeleteDon't get too comfy...he will be Jay "throwing an interception at the worst possible time and whining and crying because he's a diva" Cutler...should have kept Kyle Orton!
ReplyDeleteDid you talk to Jay Cutler or anything like that? Give him your number? Anything? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm just thankful we got rid of Jay-interception-Cutler
ReplyDelete--signed a true Bronco Fan
(all in good fun of course!)
Oh so jealous!
