I looked up Versatile on the Merriam Webster site, here is what it had to say...

The award requires me to list seven things about myself:

1)  I struggle this time of year NOT eating the damn Halloween candy.  Last year I had to hide it in the garage freezer so that I would stay away from it.

2)  I'm an overly emotional, sensitive, reactive person...but can be pretty level headed after the initial freak out. 

3)  I hate shaving my legs in the winter...but hate the way my legs feel when they aren't shaved.

4)  I don't do well without sleep, I don't mean I need lots and lots...but I need at least the minimum hours a night...

5)  I am an impatient person.  Really impatient.

6)  Christmas, or even thinking about Christmas this year makes me panic.

7)  Mr.FF rocks my world and it scares the shit out of me.  When I should be rolling around in the beauty of it all, I'm diggin in the dirt trying to muck it up.

Avoidance...er I mean Award

Lookie, lookie.

An award that I stole was given.

Probably because The Ninja likes my ninja ways...or wants to pop my cherry.

Or because I am avoiding awesome.

So this past weekend was the wake for my Gramma.

I was dreading going.  Wakes are no fun, especially wakes that include my Dad.  Not that I would really have anything to base that on.  It's been 26 years since we've had a funeral on that side of my family.

26 years that my Grandpa has been gone.  My Gramma was without her partner for 26 years.  That makes me sad, however, eases her death a little to know that where ever that afterlife is, they are together.

I was stressed and really have been stressed since the call.  From abandonment dreams to sensitivity towards Mr.FF, insecurities flying out as openly as ever.  The insecurities that I try to keep reigns on, the insecurities that I keep close and usually brush off as just silly feelings that don't need to be shared.

Poor Mr.FF.  He held up like a champ.  Even when I laid in his bed crying uncontrollable tears knowing where they were coming from but unable to put words to them, he just held me.  He just made me feel safe and loved.

I also was stressed over what to wear to the shindig.  Black is so cliche.  Do people still really wear black to these things?  I've seen black in weddings now...well, guess weddings/death = black.  I didn't want to wear black, but I didn't want to wear something overly cheery either.

I decided on brown.  Nice neutral color.  Dark, but not black.  I decided that it probably didn't matter much what I wore because I knew that I'd probably dress better than my Dad.  He showed up to both of my weddings in jeans, t-shirt and a baseball cap.

He did not disappoint for his own mother's wake either.  It was his usual uniform, but added some really bad chunky Harley Davidson boots to the ensemble.  His wife was in a tank long turquoise dress. 

Seriously people.

Overall, I held up nicely.  I have an Uncle that has always equalled comfort to me.  I love him.  Anytime I was feeling overwhelmed I sought him out and I instantly felt better.  Some people have that affect.  He does and I love him for it.

It is really weird though to walk into a room where people know your name, cheers look like you, are your "family" but know NOTHING about you.  They do not know how you tick, what makes your heart tick, how your brain works nonstop in your head.  They straight and simple do. not. know. you.  As much as they like to THINK they do.  They do not.

The funeral was Monday morning, however, my bruiser Bubba bad teeth was scheduled for oral surgery Monday morning.  So I had a great excuse made my apologies about not being able to make it.

That's that and that's that.

So my award, self rewarded or otherwise states that I have to tell you three things I love about myself.

This is fitting, right.

1) I love my eyes.  I love that they change colors.  I love when they are green.
2) I love that I have a quick wit, usually.  I can be comical at times. 
3) I love that through it all, every heart break I have a pretty good heart, a caring heart, a giving heart, a hopeful heart.

There you go bishes.  My weekend wrap up and an award.

So here's how this will go down, answer all the questions below and then share the l o v e with 6 other kickass people you feel that are brutally honest on their blogs.



-Share 1 thing that no one knows about you.
Well, thanks to Mr.F, you all know I was a cheerleader.  Which is very true (I can not lie since he posted a picture and all, thanks dear).  I was a cheerleader...and I have to tell you, I was a damn good cheerleader.  I had/have a voice that carries...and I like to use it (ask my kids).

There was another post where Mr.F posted a picture and wouldn't tell, but asked you all to ask me what I was wearing under the dress. 

Let me set the stage.  It was senior year.  Seniors were done with school about two-three days before graduation ceremonies.  My bestie Kim and I decided to go camping.  We had a blast.  Raccoons ate all of our food and thank goodness for Kim's mom bringin us McDonald's. 

We were roughin it people. ;)

So it was time to get ready for graduation and in all my wonderfully sweet teenager ways, I did not want to do this at my house.  So I went to Kimmie's.  I specifically asked my Mom for ONE THING...and that was nylons with a cotton panty liner thingy-ma-jig...and BECAUSE I had asked her for that ONE THING, I did not pack underwear.

Let me just say, there was NO WAY I would have gone pantiless (on purpose) anywhere but under my suit swimming.   On this occasion though, I did not want a panty line and thought my best defense against that was nylons with the cotton panty liner.

I trusted that my Mother wouldn't forget.  Well, as you may have guess, she did.  It was too late for me to run home and get undies, or the nylons that I wanted...so I went without anything under (where) my dress.  There you have it.  I free spirited my way through graduation ceremonies. 

It was a breeze.


-What is your biggest regret in life? (hello, everyone has regrets)

There are times that I say that I have no regrets...and in a way, it's true. If I didn't take the path that I took I wouldn't be where I am right now. HOWEVER...I sure wish I would have listened to my gut on more than one occasion with Ex#2...but of course the flip side to that is I wouldn't have Bubba if I did listen to my intuition.  So it's a catch 22.


-Have you ever been jealous of someone else's blog page and why?

Maybe when I first started blogging. Now, after blogging for as long as I have, I am not jealous of anyone's page. It's hard work to blog and write beautifully everyday or even sometimes. So those that do it, I admire, not envy.

I am happy with my blog, I'm happy with it's content, the way it has looked every time I've changed it up, etc.

When comments are down it gets a litte discouraging, but also the more comments the more pressure there is to continue to come up with good shit for you all to read.



-What would you do for a $1,000 dollars?

Eat a Klondike bar?

Yeah, I've got nothing, what do you have in mind?


-What secretly makes you happy? (money? Kids? Porn? Sunshine?)

My kids behaving, their belly laughs, when they are peacefully sleeping <--but this is no secret.

Watching Glee makes me happy...and I'm estatic to go see Glee Live tomorrow night. *eeeeGLEEeeee*



-If you could go back in time, would you still pick the person you are with right now? And why.

Well, let's see.  Mr.F and I have only been officially dating for a (shit this feels like a test...I'm horrible with dates) 7 months (is that right...time flies when you're having fun) so if I had to go back in time, it's not *that* far back.

Besides, yes, I am very happy right now.   So if I went 7 months back in time, I'd still pick him. :)



-What do you like or dislike about my blog page.

-If you could take a trip anywhere, who would you take with you?

Due to cancelling ex spouses, I'd love for Mr.F and I to go somewhere together ALONE...for AT LEAST seven days. :) Ideally, I want to go to the Smokey Mountains, rent a secluded cabin with a private outdoor hot tub and a view.

 I had to google, I don't even know what these are...and now I know why.  I'm a beer kind of girl...usually a Coors Light girl, but thanks to my bestie I am a Bud Light Lime girl.
So Grey Goose is Vodka and Makers Mark is bourbon.  So, I have to say neither.  Thankyouverymuch.

3. Shoes or bare foot? 

Bare foot, most definitely!  I love cute shoes, but there's nothing like the warmth on my toes, walking around with no shoes on.

1) I honestly hate these "tell all" memes. I draw a blank. Ask me to blog for two years all about myself, I can do that, but to come up with a list? Not as easy. I'm a horrible procrastinator.
