Grouchy Grump

Staci @ Just Bloggled tagged me with this Things that Make Me Grumpy meme I'm supposed to tell you seven things that make me grumpy.

grumpy2 Pictures, Images and Photos

1. Wearing white capris...on a day you FEEL like you are gonna get your monthly visitor...which doesn't happen, but you sure as hell drop a strawberry on your pants anyway.  For the love of Pete.

2. Homeownership.  Ya know when something goes wrong.

(For example, a storm rolls through on June 2, 2010 roughly 4 AM, snapping three trees and the Nipsco pole, falling trees on your inflatable pool and Mr.Fantastic's tent.  Want to know who's responsibility it is to clean all that up?  You got it, the homeowner, which is me.  Good times)

Otherwise I LOVE owning my own home.

3.  Accidentally knocking a new roll of toilet paper into a running shower, a full bath tub, or into the toilet <--stolen from Staci...that sucks.

4.  Bubba waking up in a shitty mood.

5.  When my dvr doesn't work properly.

6.  When MR.F deals with an aching tooth for MONTHS...and then it gets SOOO bad that he's grouchy...and there is nothing I can do to help him.  I don't deal well with helplessness.

7.  Captain Cancel...anything I have to do that involves him makes me really grumpy.

If you want to play along, please feel free.

She asked...

some questions from...

If you want to participate, feel free...

1. What is one thing that you truly do just for you?

WHAT?

hmmm.

WHAT?

2. What is the most expensive thing in your closet?

the house surrounding it.

my clothes are cheap like me...wait, no that's not what I meant. I am a tightwad, especially when it comes to clothes.

I want to be on What Not to Wear...someone please nominate me.

(OR you can just nominate me for best parenting blog. *wink wink*)

3. Are you where you want to be in your life?

I am sure that growing up I had pipe (giggle) dreams about where I would be, but I also thought that 35 29 was old. So, even though I am not where I thought I'd be I am exactly where I am suppose to be.

Everything in life happens for a reason...and right now, I am enjoying where I am.

4. If you could be on any reality TV show, which would it be?

Jerry Springer? No! Kidding. Though I do tease that with all my baby daddy drama, I do fit the bill. Who's ass do I need to kick?

Since I'm not searching for a Bachelor, guess that one is out. Plus I am way too jealous of a person to do that.

I can't sing, so Idol's out.

There is no way in hell I'd survive on survivor. 1) I need showers with soap, 2) I need real food, 3) I can't lie to save my life.

Amazing Race would be fun. I think that Mr.F and I might be one of those couples that KILL each other during the stressful moments...but maybe I'm wrong.

(He will say I'm wrong, he likes saying I'm wrong, right babe? *wink*)

5. What dream are you working on right now? (doesn’t have to be a big huge life altering dream…could be finding time to get that book read)

oh goodness, I have dreams right now.

Dreams that make me smile when I'm awake, dreams of the changes I want to make in my house to make it better. I have pondered and pondered some more on how I want it to look. Now I need to get step dad on board and for him to have some free time to accomplish my goal. I hate waiting on others, or relying on others, however, I can't do this dream alone.

6. Ohhh Best book you have read lately?

Goodness, I haven't read much as of late. Between kids' schedules, Mr.F schedules, TV schedules, there hasn't been much time. I have three books right now waiting to be read.
(Co-worker just brought me book four, add that to the stack)

I don't know if these are the BEST books, but I did really enjoy the Twilight Series and I am anxiously awaiting the movie Eclipse June 30th!

7. Most annoying habit of your mate? C’mon share…I’m sure they aren’t looking.

Oh, Mr.F, he's pretty awesome.

Right now though? He's being a stubborn ass. He's being a whiny stubborn ass. As much as I love the boy, I'd like to kick him right in the mouth.

And that just made me laugh...cause everything with him makes me laugh...except our times in the bedroom that's no laughing matter.

NO.

TMI...moving on..

*daydreaming....*

8. What is your favorite thing to do on your birthday?

Have some alone time, floating in a pool with a fruity drink.

9. What is the best idea for a Wedding gift? (yes …I’m going to a Wedding and need some ideas! Ha)

Well, I am a picture taking fool. I like to give frames.

10. What is one thing you look back on in your life and think “I can’t believe I survived that.”

Hmmm. I was six months pregnant with Buggy when her dad moved out. There were times during that pregnancy that I thought I couldn't make it, that I didn't want to make it. Thank goodness though that I was pregnant, it just might have saved me from travelling down an even scarier path than single motherhood and divorce.

Award...

I got a "super comments" award...surprisingly cause my commenting has sucked donkey butt lately.

I graciously accept, thank you Soccer Mom!

Rules:  Answer the questions, make up ten of your own, and pass it on to seven others.

1. Music you want played at your funeral?

What do I care, I will be dead.

2. Grey Goose or Makers Mark?

I had to google, I don't even know what these are...and now I know why.  I'm a beer kind of girl...usually a Coors Light girl, but thanks to my bestie I am a Bud Light Lime girl.
So Grey Goose is Vodka and Makers Mark is bourbon.  So, I have to say neither.  Thankyouverymuch.

3. Shoes or bare foot?

Bare foot, most definitely!  I love cute shoes, but there's nothing like the warmth on my toes, walking around with no shoes on.

4. Favorite rock concert?

Hmmm, it's been a while since I've been to a concert period.  How about a list of those I've seen in concert mmmmk?
Santana-great concert
Janet Jackson- awesome concert (back in '93)
Ricky Martin-don't judge
Genisis-it's was ok
Metallica-probably the only TRUE rock concert...and I left with a HUGE headache.
Jimmy Buffett - awesome time and I can't wait to go again this year WITH Mr.F
I've attended a couple radio station summer bashes.
I might be forgetting some...but there you go.
I can't wait to go see Glee on May 25th!

5. Vegas Show girls or Bunny Ranch?

If I was into girls...I'd probably go for the Bunny Ranch.

6. Does the carpet match the drapes?

I don't like carpet, I much more prefer hardwood..er, um, no carpet.

7. Movies: Comedy, Horror, Adventure, or porn?

Porn.
haha, I kid.  I am a romantic comedy girl.
Then porn.

8. Some place you have never been but want to go?

Australia
Alaska
Hawaii

9. Would you be a phone sex operator if it paid a $1,000 a day?

Hell yes.  Is this the going rate?  Mr.F...better work some overtime honey.

10. Romantic sex or wild and kinky?

Yes please. Both.

Ok, I will pass this along to seven others....let's see...

Bev @Out of My Head Into Yours
MW Mommy @ Mommy from the Midwest
Jennifer @ Momma Made it Look Easy
Vicki @ Frugal Mom Knows Best
Miss Kitteh @ Pink Piddy Paws
Kami @ Kami's Khlopchyk
Porky @ Le-Porkstar

No onto my 10 questions for you lovelies.

1) A night in or a night out?
2) Movies at the theater or in your own home?
3) If you found your Ex on Facebook/Myspace would you stalk their page?
4) Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall?
5) Do you tell your best friends EVERYTHING?
6) Does your family know about your blog?
7) Are you a mysterious person or a tell all person?
8) Why do you blog?
9) What are some issues you refuse to blog about?
10)  HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE ME? ;)

(That's hard coming up with ten ...twhs)

Lovely MEME.

I am... "learning to be brave in the beautiful mistakes I've made" -Pink (love those lyrics and they are ringing true in my life right now)

I feel... skeptical.

I see... blue skies and sunshine.

I need... faith.

I love... dreaming of brighter days

I wish... for love, peace and happiness with myself.

I think... too much and sometimes not often enough.

I hear... the air-conditioner running

I crave... cheesecake

I fear... failing my kids

I hope... to stay hopeful! <--that is Stacy's answer and I love it so I am stamping it with a big fat DITTO.

Auditors are here, tag YOU'RE it!!!

I was tagged!!

Today the auditors are in the office, among all my other responsibilities here at work, I have very little time to do a full fledge post...so you will have to just enjoy another tag meme.

This tag comes from a good friend, Marcia

Go to your My Pictures, and pick the 4th folder, the 4th picture in that folder and blog it!

LIPUT

First, this was taken April 7th, 2006. I think I need to back the old photos up on my computer and relieve some memory on my old desktop... :)

Secondly, I know the date of the picture all too well.

It was a rough day.

It was my sister's birthday and she was spending it for the first time away from family. She had decided after Christmas that she was moving to Arizona. I missed her, I worried about her, I didn't want her to move so far away. I was just feeling blah about her being gone.

This also was the day that my first husband, exhubby1, was getting remarried. When he had left our home, I KNEW that there was another woman that was behind the hurried departure. He denied it, of course, every time I inquired. I had met this woman and I KNEW. Call it woman's intuition. I knew. No better way to confirm my feelings than to marry her five years after our divorce. Tell me NOW, I was delusional. Tell me NOW I was imagining things due to pregnancy hormones. Tell me NOW Asshole, that I was right.

I felt the heaviness of the day, weighing me down out of my happy zone. I decided to take a ride to the beach at lunch time. Something I love to do, plus I had my camera, something else I love to do (take pictures).

The day was gloomy, suiting my mood to a T. I took out the camera and started shooting. The beach itself looked gloomy, but the vegetation around it screamed out SPRING! Buds on the trees, Forsythia bushes bloomed their sunshine colors begging me to soak in all the signs of New Beginnings of Spring.

I saw this beat down mailbox (me!) and the backdrop of the Forsythia bush (new beginnings) and it made me smile. A smile of hope, a smile of letting go, I snapped the shot.

I still remember those feelings, from that very day. All of it captured here. I may feel beaten down at times, but there is still beauty in weakness and there is ALWAYS NEW BEGINNINGS.

I am not going to tag anyone, but if you want to play along, please consider yourself tagged. :)

I am off to contend with the auditors!

Interview THIS

Ok, I signed on for an interview...cause I am super busy at work today...and 2-3 other posts are started but not completed...So Hannah @ Blairs Boys sent me some questions to answer...here you go.

1. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This is a hard question. Probably tacos. I love tacos. I have to have all the fixins too though, shell, cheese, onion, tomatoes, lettuce, salsa...YUM.

taco Pictures, Images and Photos

2. What is your greatest achievement so far?

Probably my Associate degree, I went back to school when Buggy was 2 years old. It was a 2 year program at a local business college. Four nights a week, three hour long classes, working full-time and being a single mother. I was dating hubby2 at the time and he provided some help with Buggy along the way. Halfway through the program, I found out I was pregnant with the Bubs. So I was going to school four nights a week, three hour classes, working full-time, a mom, a girlfriend, and PREGNANT. The day I delivered Bubba, I missed a final. However, two days after delivery my butt was in that school taking it. Through it all, I graduated, magna cum laude, and won The Eagle Achievement award. I did it, full plate and I ate it all.

Now I would really love to go back and get my bachelors, but it's quite the task to take on and I don't know if I can want do it again.

diploma Pictures, Images and Photos

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Lame as it may sound, wherever my family is, is where I want to be. Which is why I am still here, in the "our seasons change hourly" area of the Midwest. I am very much a grounded person and my roots have been planted here, and now my children's fathers are in this area, so I won't be going anywhere for a long time. This is where I want to be.

Midwest Pictures, Images and Photos

4. What qualities do you look for in a friend?

Humor. I love a funny person. Compassionate. I love someone who has a heart and can think of others in little ways. Loyal. Nobody likes a back stabber.

bw me stacey kim 8 25 07
*best friends from high school

5. If you were stranded on a desert island and could take only FIVE things (not people) with you, what would they be?

shack
*picture from 2005 Cancun, Mexico

1) a radio, for damn sure. <--maybe I should move up into the year, say, 2001 and get myself an i-Pod!?!?!

2) seeds to plant a garden <--girl has to eat.

3) fishing gear <--can you tell I have been watching Survivor. Girl has to eat.

4) Pen and paper <--think of all the time I could write and tan...and in peace.

5) picture of my kids <-- since I can't bring people...a picture will have to do.

Thanks, Hannah, for the wonderful interview questions.

If you want to be interviewed, let me know, I will send you some questions to answer on YOUR blog. :)

In the bag.

I was tagged like a million years ago to do a "bag" meme, by calicobebop. Ok so it wasn't a MILLION years ago, but in January and that sure FEELS like a million years ago.

So here is my "bag"

jan09 031

I bought it on clearance at Target. I had a summer purse before this one that was the same size, however, it was made of straw-like material and it was AWESOME. This one is leather and well, it isn't awesome. It's like a LIMP noodle (that's what she said)

jan09 032

so when it is set down anywhere, it just limps over, folds itself. Which means, I can't find a damn thing in it. It's like a fatty, with its rolls, hiding things in their crevices.

PLUS, now that the kids are older, there is NO reason for me to have a big ass limp fatty purse. Sure I get the occasional webkinz to carry, or some lego something or other, but for the most part, I am not entitled to carrying many things FOR the kids. Maybe an occasional can of whoop ass, but even that doesn't require much space.

Here is a peak inside.
jan09 033

Dump it like it's hot.
jan09 034

jan09 035
This is the patchwork of my life. CIRCUS.
It is from a Brownies outing that Buggy's troop went on, in, um, *cough* November. The patch is OBVIOUSLY still in my purse, it needs to be filed in the drawer with all the other wonderful patches that sure as hell aren't going to sew themselves to her bare brownies vest. *ahem*
My work keys. A ticket stub from the movies.

jan09 036
Here we have some gum. A paperclip *shrugs* a casualty of office work. My fourth third second addiction, chapstick. A shiny silver watch. *cough again* that is a Christmas present that arrived LATE. It's a Jonas Brother's charm watch for Buggy. I am not sure why I am still carrying it and how come the Mother of the Year award is not sitting in my lap.

jan09 037
There's a wallet, the $10 I have to my name, some lighters (not sure where the matching cigs were to those lighters), some gift certificate cards I haven't used, my weight watchers "pocket guide" that is big enough to not forget (though I have fallen off the tracking wagon) but nice enough to fit in a really big "bag" purse. A necklace, my cell phone (probably dead), lotion and a random sucker.

It's all rather EXCITING, isn't it?

I am not going to tag anyone, but if you are struggling for content, or you want to avoid a topic, then I suggest you pick this up and blog what's in your bag. Let me know if you do complete it, I wanna see what you got IN THE BAG.

TAG, you're it.

I was tagged, I was tagged!

Why can't I be tagged with some great award? I kid, I kid.

Gotta Change IT, from Chicken Scratch is the tagger!

1. Link to the person who tagged you
2. Post the rules on your blog
3. Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself
4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs
5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on his/her website

*******************************************

1. I think about my flatulence way too much...if I were ever to get off of the crack known as fiber bars/cereal/pancakes maybe I could focus on other non-important things.

2. I am way too hard on myself to do everything, to BE everything to EVERYONE...no one else puts that pressure on me but me. In the end, I am only hurting myself trying to be it all.

3. I have absolutely NO WILL power...the damn candy from Halloween is HAUNTING ME, HAUNTING ME I SAY. This said haunting is showing up on my scale, yet I can't walk away. It is my other form of crack.

4. I eat way too fast...I guess I live in a hurry up kind of life. I am always telling the kids to hurry, myself to hurry, even if there is no need to hurry. Anyway, with the eating too fast, I find I am done a lot quicker than it takes my brain to process that I have even eaten. It leaves me wanting more, when I really don't need more.

5. I love reality tv. Love love love it. I think it allows me to escape MY reality and see other's reality (it is NOT SCRIPTED, PEOPLE ;)) and I love the escape. Though any tv show provides this escape for me, so does reading, but reality tv just makes me smile. I once went to a Jerry Springer show taping (I was in the audience, really, trust me, I wasn't ON the show), it was good (clean?) fun.

6. I am on my third book by Jodi Picoult, I really love her books. First one I read was Keeping Faith, LOVED IT. Then a friend loaned me My Sister's Keeper, LOVED IT. Now I am reading The Pact, LIKE IT--haven't gotten far enough to LOVE IT. Other authors that I have read and liked, Sandra Brown, Nora Roberts...and can't think of the others now. Recommendations are welcome, as I said it is another great way for me to escape MY reality, so I am goin to need all that escaping I can get. Unless someone wants to scoop me up and take me on a lovely vacation! (I like long walks on the beach, umbrellas in my drink, sun on my face...)

So there, 6 "non-important" facts about me. I am tagging...

Liz @ My Quarter Life Crisis
Jovi @ Dodge A Wrench (i haven't tagged jovi in a long time and I love her responses)
Bogart in P Towne I don't think I have EVER tagged him.
So What do you do all Day?
and last but not least....

Meme-shmeme.

I was tagged....and well...shit...I like doing Memes when there is just too much else going on to write about.... for clarification on yesterday's post...it was my Mom calling me for dinner and I do have an idea why she wants to meet...and that I guess is why I am afraid of it...but, I will go! My mom and I are very close...but not every relationship is perfect. Anyway...I am sure I will vent here after it is all said and done...stay tuned. ;)

My blogging friend Calicobebop is the tagger....bless her heart ;)

The rules are to write five positive things about yourself. I don’t care how goofy or weird those things are; I simply want them to be things you think are rad and that you absolutely believe with your whole heart. Like don’t hand me any “I’m a great mom!!” stuff if you actually think you’re only a pretty good mom. See what I mean? After you write your list, tag five other people to compose a list.

*seriously, this post has been opened for an hour hours and NOTHING is popping into my head*
*I seriously asked a friend to name five good things about me...kinda defeats the purpose of ME recognizing the good things for myself*

1. I think I am a good mom...oh crap, that is in the rules to NOT say. (I try to hard to be the best mom I can be)

Starting over.

*why is this so difficult?*

1. If there is something I want...I usually dive in head first and get it...no matter what. So I guess you can say I am goal driven, even though there isn't a list of goals that I have for myself...not really.

When I decided to go back to school for my Associates...I went in, signed up and started the next month. I was dedicated and driven to "get 'er done"...and I did, no matter what obstacle was in my way. I worked 40 hours per week, Buggy was 2 when I started and in the middle of it, I got pregnant with Bubba. (My current weight loss success is another example)

I was so dedicated that two days after giving birth I was in that school taking the final that I had missed due to delivery..thank goodness it was an excused absence. I finished.

There is still more schooling I want to do...and I know that one day I will do it. I will get it done and I will prevail. *pumps fist in the air*

2. I tend to see the good in people FIRST...before any of the negative creeps in. Even after the negatives slap me in the face, I believe in the good and see the good. Of course sometimes this makes me a really fluffy doormat, but really, I think it is a good quality (not the fluffy or the doormat part, but the ability to see the good in people).

3. I am kind. I am a good friend. I am a good listener. (damn, I should separate those and make them, 3, 4 and then 5)

4. see #3
5. see #3

I am horrible at this.

Who to torment tag?
Liam
Le Porkstar

those two are my non lurking MALE readers and lets face it, men have a great time talking about how wonderful THEY are... ;) so lets see it boys.
