TGIF! Go away headache.

I'd like to bathe in Tylenol right now.

I have a killer headache which should make the White Sox game fun tonight. :)

Taking Mr.FF's kids with us...mine went last time...how difficult is it for a family of 6 to go together?

Looks as if I will be driving a "mom" mobile for a long time to come.  Just sayin.  No downsizin there, (twss).

If we were ever to move in together...we'll need a 5....FIVE bedroom house.  *gulp*

Works perfectly if we were at an amusement park...someone always has a riding partner.

(yeeeaaahhh)

((the only riders better be me and Mr.F, just sayin))

Anyway.

I'm excited (giggle) to go to the game tonight.  Tomorrow we have our preseason football party and Sunday I'm photographing an engaged couple.  It's gonna be a good weekend.  Hope you all have a good one too.

(yeaaaah)

Take me out to the ball game...

cubs sox 6 27 10

A week before my vacation my boss approached me with some of the best tickets for White Sox that one could ask for.

It was a Sunday game, 1:00 pm, Chicago Cubs and White Sox, Cross Town Classic.

I jumped at the chance to go to the game.  Excited!!

I emailed Mr.FF immediately.

Dilemma was ... who do we take with us?  It's difficult being a "family" of six, when there is only four tickets.

Do we take friends, leaving all the kids home and with sitters?

Do we take my kids and get sitters for his kids?

Vice versa, take his kids and get sitters for mine?

Well, we talked it through, thought about it, etc.

cubs sox the divide 6 27 10

I think he wanted his boys so that he wasn't the only Cubs fan on board.  :)

Burger is still young and impressionable, Onion, well, he's on the right side of the fence as far as baseball teams go.

The weather was beautiful, the game was great (if you were a Cubs fan, they won, boo), the boys had a great time.  We still did not get a foul ball.

At one point the jumbo-tron had a "will you marry me" message.  It said, "dear so and so, will you spend the rest of your life with me even though I'm a Cubs fan?"  I laughed and without thinking said outloud, "NOOO don't do it."  Then looked over to this....

the boys 6 27 10

I meant don't get married....has nothing to do with him being a Cubs fan.  Really.

The crowd gets pretty riled up during these Cross Town Classics.  Lots of drunkards, and quite honestly way too many Cubs fans...not that THEY were the reason for the riledness.  Anyway, at one point, the upper deck had about twenty security guards trying to remove some fans.  Fists were flying, cups of beer sailing, it was quite the spectacle.  I was really happy that those around us were pretty tame.  Maybe it was due to us having CHILDREN with us.

I remember one time taking two Cubs fans to the game, they were adults.  There was no holds bar on that game.  Granted there was also a huge fight between the players on the field, but a Sox fan came from five rows behind us to start shit with the Cubs fans I had with me.  It was a lot of manly chest puffin and smack talk.  It was kinda scary.

We had a great time and it was a beautiful day for a baseball game!!

Sometimes...you just have to

Sometimes, you just have to cut loose.

I'm not referring to passing gas.

This time.

No.

Sometimes, you (I don't know why I say you...cause I really mean ME) need cut loose and it's best to do that with GOOD people.

Saturday was the first Sox game I've gone to this season.

Paulie Paulie, you so fine.

Mr.F and I met up with Midwest Mommy and her hubby, who I like to lovingly refer to as Midwest Daddy or as he likes to be called, Mr. Clean.

Last year when I met this awesome couple I was so nervous. Blogger meet ups are nerve wracking for me. This year though, I was totally psyched.

These are GOOD people...and it doesn't hurt that they think like me...or at least I think they think like me. MW Mommy is GORGEOUS and funny, very very funny.

(see, just like me.)

MW Daddy, Mr. Spic and Span, is easy going and you can tell he adores his wife, which is BIG TIME AWESOME.

My company has kick ass seats. These seat come with a price though.

5 11 10 408

Usually when South Paw comes by with his gooney girls, us front row people don't get any of the shirts they throw into the crowd. They just never give it up.

This time, however, MW Mommy, she got lucky. The gooney girl reach into her sack and handed over these yummy salty nuts.

Mr.F was so excited about us girls handling the nuts, he wanted to get us more.

5 11 10 410

I had to have a taste.

This sent MW Mommy into a germ-o-panic, she didn't like me licking on her nuts.

"Who else had their hands on those nuts?" She said. "Don't lick my nut sack."

I'm not kidding she really said that.

Mr.F had a ball smack him right on the hand and he let it go. He should have squeezed harder.

5 11 10 402

It was a crazy night, balls, salty nuts, it was debauchery at it's finest.

I am sooo thrilled to have had the chance to hang out with MW Mommy again!

Aren't we the most beautiful group of Sox fans...oh wait, Mr.FF is a Cubs fan.  BOOOOO.

Random Madness

Crap. Where has the day gone?

I'm going random today.

-I've had terrible tummy troubles since Sunday night. It seems to be worse right after I eat. Sucks.

-I can blog freely here about my bowel movements and the affects of my fiber one bars, but when talking to Mr.F I can not discuss freely with him. I'd like him to think I'm a princess that doesn't fart or "drop the kids at the pool"....except he reads this blog. DAMMIT.

*waves hi to Mr.FF*

-I'm still on this topic, not sure why I keep bullet pointing it....but this tummy ache isn't even producing any gas or kid droppin....so really Mr.F that is NOT why I had to go home so quickly last night...

-Moving on...

-I am going to my first White Sox game of the season this weekend! WOOT. Remember this one time last year? That's right BISHES it's on...again. MW Mommy and MW Daddy have graciously agreed to join me...YEEEHHHHAAAWWWW.

-Sunday is Mother's Day...and let me just say if the Ex, Capt'n Cancel, is invited to THIS friggin holiday, I might just go PMS PSYCHO on someone...anyone.

-Speaking of PMS Psycho...you have to read Bev today. Good stuff. Not that I can relate...no. Not me.

*Smiles*

-I really could kick myself in the taco, I saw Capt'n Cancel's facebook page last night...OH MMM GEEEE...seriously.  Here's the thing I had to keep saying (after the cuss words flew out of my mouth) to myself.  He is the same person he's been, no matter the drastic good and bad things I tried during our marriage to change him, he's never going to change.  At least I don't have to be married to him...and thank goodness I'm not anymore.

-I booked a professional photo shoot for the kids and I.  I am totally excited for it.  It's not until the end of July, but I'm already thinking about what we will wear.

-Today feels like Friday.  FML, it's only Thursday.

-Heard this song today, I love it...so sharing is caring my lovelies.

Ok, I'm outie.

It's that time again...

Let's get ready to RUUUMMMBBBLLEE...
wait, that's not right.

Ladies and gentlemen...start your engines...
no.

*cue National Anthem*
PLAY BALL.

Yes. Yes that's the one.

september09 004

Sadly, Buggy does NOT want to play this year. BOOOOO. Look how cute she looks in her uniform from last year...

She wants to sign up for dance class again.

I need to get on that...and I should sign her up for dance.

*snicker*

september09 035

Bubba, however, will be playing his third (but feels like the millionth) season of t-ball. *yawn* I am sooo ready for him to move up to the next level. Opening day for this year's season is April 22nd, then we will have 2 games a week and practice 1 day a week.

Good times.
Busy times.

116

This season too, Burger will be playing. So maybe there will be chances of "running into" Mr.F and his boys out at the ball field.

Less exciting however will be the exes out there too (ya know when they don't cancel).

Maybe Mr.F and I can sign up to "work" concessions together. *meow* It's an exciting life we lead, I know.

Don't be jealous. ;)

Who wants cracker jacks?

Not me Monday...

Hahaha, I did not get all crazy and post this post without anything written. Really.

This weekend:
I did not sit in the snow/rain/sleet cheering on my daughter for her last softball game of fall ball.

I did not giggle when I realized she conveniently chose to play the bench during that inning when it was snow/rain/sleeting.

I did not curse the fact that IMMEDIATELY after her 90 minute game, Bubba had his 90 minute game to play.

I did not think of leaving his game early. He was going with his dad anyway after the game ended.

I did not get nostalgic at a friend's mom's 60th birthday party.

I did not get teary eyed watching their family dance.

I did not get out on that dance floor with them in celebration.

I did not walk out of the house without my camera to document the event.

I did not thank Mother Nature for Sunday's beautiful weather...

I did not just post this really dull post.

*sigh*

Not ME monday...

Edition #(who knows anymore)37

In NO WAY at all did I alter these photos so lovingly emailed to me.

I did NOT absolutely adore this couple.

I did NOT think Midwest Mommy was prettier in person. (OH wait, I'll explain)

I did NOT invite her family to come vacation at my house anytime they'd like.

*****

Ok, I can't do the opposite world today because I am just TOO excited to tell you how friggin fantastic this blogger meet up was, literally, it was a HOME RUN.

I am usually very nervous to meet new people, worried that I'm not funny enough or whatever. However with Midwest Mommy, I wasn't nervous at all. I was more excited and she did not disappoint.

She's just as funny, energetic and BEAUTIFUL as she is on her blog. I mean it, I am not even kidding. She has a young quality and a fun personality that I am so drawn to. I loved her...and hope that someday we can meet again.

Aren't we cute? Aren't her and her hubby adorable? I think yes!!

*****

Something happened to me on Saturday that I was elated about. I didn't do much, didn't have anything planned and even though I missed out on an opportunity that I was unaware of, I had a great day.

Later in the evening, I had two movies that I rented and I was cooking out on the grill. I don't know why it hit me at that moment or what made it hit me, but it did.

As I was stepping onto the deck to flip my turkey burger I said out loud, "I'm making the best dinner for the best person. Me."

I really enjoyed the night, alone. I enjoyed the movies I rented and it was a good night. I went to bed, not feeling alone, but content. I can't guarantee that every time I will feel that way, but I was really thrilled with feeling it that night.

*****

Sunday morning, I did some cleaning up and decided that since it was one of the hottest days we've had this summer that I would go and enjoy the day at my stepdad's pool.

I finished up my duties and headed over. Alone again and thoroughly enjoying my time floating, listening to music and the breeze that made the trees sway and sing their own song.

Later in the day I went to my Aunt's to continue the same celebration of a REAL summer day. More lounging in the pool and a meal from their garden.

It literally was one of the better weekends I've had in a long time. It renewed my faith in myself and being able to handle the crap going on.

So see, I can't do a Not Me Monday in it's truest form because this weekend I DO want to claim my actions, roll around in them and savor them...and hope that each day and weekend that I continue to reclaim ME!

This past weekend, one of favorite (ask me in a few weeks if this still rings true) pastimes started.

BASEBALL (or for Bubba t-ball)

FUN!

For those that ask how much editing I do, if any, with my photos...these were CROPPED big time, with the black added to the edges and the "cross process" application through flickr. I don't have any editing software, I only use what is free through www.flickr.com.

I really wish I would have gotten better shots, but this is it. :) I just wrote down all the game times and locations for both kids...and YIKES. I am going to be one busy mom! There are two games per week sometimes and both kids have games at the same times but different locations :(.
